Off to Utah

We are leaving for Utah today to see Brady!! We've never met the cute little guy and we are so excited to see him. Here are him and Natalie at about the same age, what do you think, any resemblance? They're both cute, so they have that in common =). Brady is now 6 months old and he likes to wiggle, eat sweet potatoes, and take off his socks. I think he looks exactly like my brother Corey. We'll be there for the 4th of July, it should be lots and lots of fun!

Weekends are Supposed to be Fun

Natalie and I have been sick all weekend. Blech! I took her to the doctor on Saturday and she had two ear infections, poor thing. She woke up coughing three nights in a row. Finally, last night we both slept through the night. I think we're on the mend...yea! Good thing James was here to help. Of course, James woke up with an eye infection Monday morning, we are one sad family.

Hmmm...what can I destroy now? Posted by Picasa

How fun is this?

Natalie discovered the toilet paper roll today, what fun! She is into anything and everything now. Trash cans, drawers, cupboards, you name it! She is quick! It's just so much fun to dump everything of all it's contents. I guess what goes around comes around, because my mom says I was always into everything, too. Inquiring minds want to know!

Strawberry Fields Forever

Well, here we are at the strawberry fields in Irvine, what a fun trip! We rode in a tractor (not Natalie's favorite part) and got to try all sorts of fresh vegetables and fruit on the way to the strawberry fields. Natalie loved the strawberries as you can tell by her outfit.

Mmmm, pretty good...

More please...

All done! Yea!! Posted by Picasa

Pictures of the Natskers

We got these pictures taken back in March. She sure hammed it up for the camera, they turned out so adorable. It was hard to pick which ones to get, they all turned out so cute. These are the ones I picked out, I love them.

Come closer, I have a secret...

Love Rachael Ray!

So this was my Mother's Day gift from my mom, isn't she thoughtful? You gotta love Rachael, she's just so darn good! I have tried quite a few of her recipes and have not been let down yet. I love my new cookbook and can't wait to try it! Thanks mom...

Wiggle Worm

It seems like every time I put Natalie down to wiggle around on the floor, she ends up under the bed, or under a table, or next to a piece of furniture, she just instinctively goes toward large objects. Then she cries until I come and rescue her and hold her for a bit. It's an endless cycle. I think my dad hit the nail on the head when he said Natalie always looks like there's somewhere she has to be, and she needs to find out a way to get there...quick! Posted by Picasa

Hiking in Laguna Canyon

This was a couple of weekends ago, James and I were feeling really ambitious and went hiking in Laguna Canyon. Natalie loved it, she didn't let out a peep the whole time and by the end she was completely zonked. We had a great time with our Natsky.

Clap clap.

Natalie's new trick is clapping. She'll do it on cue when James and I say, "Yeaaaa!" and she'll put her cute little hands together and smile huge. It's the cutest thing. I took Natalie to the park across the street yesterday, she got so excited to see all of the little kids playing. She stood on my lap and just squealed, squealed, squealed and waved her arms up and down. It was so funny. And every time she heard a little kid scream, she'd do it right back. It's so fun to see her little personality coming out.

Pretty as a Flower

On Monday, Natalie and I went with a friend, Shannon and her son Colin, to the flower fields in Carlsbad. Shannon takes gorgeous pictures and was nice enough to take these of Natalie, I just love them! The flower fields are really beautiful, it's kind of a fun place to go! There were a lot of stroller moms there and there's a playground, picnic area and tractor rides. Quite the adventure! We were illegal and sat by the flowers, you really aren't supposed to, but what the heck! You only live once =).

I love to read

Here's my new reading chair, we went to IKEA and purchased this last weekend. It's in a corner of our bedroom by the window, my new favorite spot. I love to read! Currently I am reading "Bel Canto" by Ann Patchett for my book club, "Freddy and Fredericka" which is very funny, and "Letters From Home", a mystery (one of my favorite genres). I have mixed feelings about Bel Canto, have not yet got into Letters From Home, but really am quite amused by Freddy and Fredericka, so we'll see. I'm always looking for suggestions, so feel free to share some good books! Posted by Picasa

How time flies

My little babe is getting so big! I can't believe how much has happened in just this last month, I think 6 months really is a milestone month. She is so curious now and reaches for anything and everything. She is scooting around, it's only a matter of time before she really catches on, and oh no! A mobile babe. I'm really quite enjoying this phase of still being able to put her down and not watch her every move, but she still loves to be held and cuddled, too. What a cutie! She is a squealer, we have squealing conversations, but Natalie's squeals are hard to top! Sometimes they even reach outside the audible range of the human ear. It's really quite adorable. Posted by Picasa

Look closely!

It is not an uncommon occurence to find Natalie in some sort of tangle like this upon getting her from her crib. This one required some effort, I am sure. I also have come across an arm poking out of the neck hole. She may have been trying to tell us she was now ready to move on from being swaddled tightly. I'm not quite sure what this one is trying to tell us. Any ideas? Posted by Picasa

New haircut

Okay, for those of you who don't see me on a weekly basis, here is my new haircut. But I must say, it's hard to not notice that cute baby sitting in my lap. Posted by Picasa

Baby Food

Well, I have done something I never thought I would do. I made my own baby food. Some of you may be rolling your eyes right now, but it actually wasn't that hard! I am feeling oh so domestic for the moment. I made sweet potatoes and carrots, Natalie loves them! Now don't get me wrong, I still feed her the jars, I just thought I'd give it a try, and was pleasantly surprised. And little miss Natalie is quite the eater, let me tell you. I feed the little babe more than I would eat sometimes. And she hasn't rejected a single food yet. So far she's had sweet potatoes, squash, avocado, banana, peaches, pears, green beans, oatmeal, rice cereal, and barley. Yum yum. Such a health nut! Although I must say, I think her favorite food is her hands. Posted by Picasa

Natalie's Many Faces

We enjoy Natalie's many faces she makes on a daily basis. Sometimes they are not always this happy and blissful, but we love it when they are! By the way, I cut my hair yesterday. It's now a lot shorter and a lot cuter. I was losing so much hair and the long hair was just not cutting it (no pun intended), so it's now shorter and more stylish. Now if I can just perfect the make up and clothes...
