I whipped this up today. Natalie started ballet/tap and she needed somewhere to put her shoes, so this is what I came up with. It was fun, and done in about 1 hour (that was with seam ripping a couple times for stupid mistakes). She loves her ballet class, but hello! There is a recital in June and her costume costs $60! What? Come on now, that is a rip off! Let's wear a leotard and skirt and call it a day, I mean, she's three!

The inside, with a cute little pocket.

that is so cute melissa!! nice job.
Love the bag, don't love the price of the ballet outfit. That's ridiculous!!
It's darling. I love the fabric. You need to teach me how to sew!
So CUTE! You are so talented!
way cute bag- great job. I know- those recital costumes are ridiculous. At Cal Elite last year, they were $80! For one time! And they were ugly!
Oooh, love it.
And seriously, those costumes probably cost, like, $8 each. They're always made of cheap material and are always quite hideous...
