Natalie's Many Faces
We enjoy Natalie's many faces she makes on a daily basis. Sometimes they are not always this happy and blissful, but we love it when they are! By the way, I cut my hair yesterday. It's now a lot shorter and a lot cuter. I was losing so much hair and the long hair was just not cutting it (no pun intended), so it's now shorter and more stylish. Now if I can just perfect the make up and clothes...

Isn't she adorable?

Natalie Loves Being Held
Natalie just loves for me to hold her (I guess this is not a unique trait for a baby). It's amazing what you can do with one hand, I never thought of all the possibilities. Here are a few things I never would have guessed you can do while holding a baby:
make the bed
brush your teeth
load laundry
sort socks
bag vegetables at the grocery store
shop!
eat/drink
write brief emails
feed the fish, Beto Chavez
open/close blinds (who would've thought?)
shop at Costco (this was tricky, I just did it on Saturday, I used Natalie's stroller as a shopping cart and actually fit quite a lot, they even loaded her stroller as if it were a shopping cart, so cool!)
get the mail (one of our favorite excursions of the day)
put up Christmas decorations (although I wouldn't recommend this, I think I broke a toe doing that this year)
bring out the trash
Anyway, I learn more things all the time. Amazing how we adapt to our circumstances. Feel free to add to this list, I figure it can be helpful for some of the new moms and moms-to-be reading my blog (i.e. Beth, Sara).

It's a good day to start a blog
Well, I'm starting a blog. Who knows how long it will last or if anyone will come visit it, but que sera sera. I have Stephanie Court to thank, her blog was so inspiring, I couldn't resist.
So, if you have any interest in a day in the life of a new mommy, this blog is for you! But beware, it may not be as exciting and action packed as you might think. For instance, here is my day so far:
4:45 am: Woke up, fed Natalie, put her back in her crib.
5:10 am: Listened to Natalie squealing, wondered if she was going to go back to sleep.
6:09 am: Natalie is kind of making a lot of noise, I will wait until 6:15 and then I'll go get her.
6:15 am: No noise, hmm, is she sleeping?
7:00 am: Go check on Natalie, sleeping like a baby, what a cutie.
7:09 am: Hear two giant squeals, go in and Natalie is on her tummy, ready to start the day.
7:09-9:20am: change two diapers, change Natalie into cute outfit, play with Natalie/hold Natalie/feed Natalie, eat breakfast halfway, pick up Natalie and finish breakfast while holding her, shower while Natalie watches Baby Einstein, put Natalie down for nap.
10:09am (now): hear Natalie waking up from nap, too short, only 49 minutes.
And I'm off!
