I'm trying to get my girls to eat more vegetables, especially Annie who is a big fan of spitting things out of her mouth. So I was so excited when I got an idea from my friend Melissa, a "green monster shake". And it totally worked, so I thought I'd pass it on to anybody else who might have trouble with giving their kids enough veggies.
Green Monster Shake (this made enough for my girls, James, and I)
1 1/2 cups orange juice
1 ripe banana
1 cup ice
fill up rest of blender with raw baby spinach
My girls loved it! And I tried it, and you really can't taste the spinach, it was yummy. Let me know if you try it and it works for you too!

will you make one for us? we're coming into town(total last minute trip) this week! i'm leaving tomorrow. what are your plans thursday?!
I've had one of these at the Claters. They're tasty!
Sounds good! By the way, I lost the blanket you made for Jane and I'm devastated. I LOVED that blanket. I went to the fabric store so I could remake it. They didn't have the exact same fabric patterns, but they did have other Michael Miller patterns. Do you mind telling me how to make it?
Unfortunately, I still don't think that Jakson would eat his veggies even this way. But maybe I will...
We loved it! Kate was very skeptical of the green, but once she tasted it she said, "It tastes like pink!" It was definitely a winner- thanks for sharing! It is also delicious with frozen blueberries.
How cute are you? I just found your blog. I'm totally adding you to my faves. Sorry I missed your Mary Kay party...my sister does it too so I have her order my stuff. I hope you guys are doing well. We need to go grab shakes at Ruby's with Tara and Laura Davis. And anyone else you want!
Sounds great!! thx for posting.
I am so going to try this!
