Peaceful Baby

Don't you just love looking at your baby when they're asleep? It allows you to forgive them anything.

Easter

Okay, I know Easter was like, three weeks ago, but I just uploaded my pictures, so what can you do?

Here is Natalie discovering a Peep for the very first time at the Easter Egg Hunt our friends put on. Mmm, sugar!

Once Natalie found those eggs, she wasn't about to let anybody take them away from her, not even to swing!

This is the one and only picture I have of Natalie in her Easter dress, that's what happens when you have 9:00 church.

Natalie loves balloons, can't you see it on her face?

Three Things Natalie Loves

The pool. She is going to LOVE summer.

Her Grandpa. It took a few months (about 10), but now Grandpa and her get along just wonderfully.

Lemons. Grandpa will take Natalie to pick lemons in the backyard. Take pleasure in the little things =)

Random Post

James challenged me last night to create a new post today, so here I am. I was complaining to him that if I don't post about Natalie, I really have no idea what to post about, isn't that sad? I have some really creative friends who write interesting posts that aren't to do with their kids and I'm a little jealous of their talents. It may sound really nerdy, but we brainstormed some things I could post about besides Natalie...I am sounding really pathetic, I know! What would pre-mom Melissa say about this!

So I have decided to reveal a little known fact about myself that will shock you all, I'm sure! It has been a wish of mine for the last few years to learn how to play the banjo and be able to play it well. Everytime I hear a song (not country) that features the banjo, I have an unexplained euphoria and immediately smile and start swaying or tapping my foot. I have heard it being used in songs by Travis, Dave Matthews Band, Guster, and Fountains of Wayne . I must admit as well, that I am a fan of Alison Kraus because of her banjo talents (or someone in her band). Anyway, my secret is out, now James will know exactly what to get me for a present one day =).

By the way, "little known facts about Melissa" was not one of the topics brainstormed last night, I came up with this one as I was writing this.

Teletubby American Idol

So I was telling Melissa a couple weeks back that American Idol Phil Stacey really looks like the sun baby on Teletubbies. (By the way, who else can't stand Teletubbies? Melissa thinks I'm a little too hostile towards what is supposed to be a simple children's television show but I really have a strong dislike for this inane creation. Sorry, Natalie, it's true. I'll still watch it with you though because I love you to pieces.)

OK, back to the point. I feel there is a strong resemblance between sun baby and Phil Stacey - especially when the baby makes that creepy laugh and gets a little cross-eyed.

Now, here comes the interesting part. As I'm getting photos off the web to create this post, I find that America has a different opinon on Phil Stacey's look-a-like. None other than our good friend, Nosferatu. (For those who haven't seen Nosferatu, I encourage you to rent and enjoy this fine piece of cinema. Dave, you would back me up on that, right?)

While sun baby and Phil Stacey will always remain inseparably connected in my mind, I must admit that Nosferatu somehow rose from the dead and tried out for American Idol this season.

It is fun to be in a basket.

Natalie really likes to crawl into anything that she might remotely fit into. And then kind of just laugh and move around a lot. It's a really fun game.

I just had to put this shot in and let you all marvel at Natalie's thighs.
