Pretty as a Flower

On Monday, Natalie and I went with a friend, Shannon and her son Colin, to the flower fields in Carlsbad. Shannon takes gorgeous pictures and was nice enough to take these of Natalie, I just love them! The flower fields are really beautiful, it's kind of a fun place to go! There were a lot of stroller moms there and there's a playground, picnic area and tractor rides. Quite the adventure! We were illegal and sat by the flowers, you really aren't supposed to, but what the heck! You only live once =).

I love to read

Here's my new reading chair, we went to IKEA and purchased this last weekend. It's in a corner of our bedroom by the window, my new favorite spot. I love to read! Currently I am reading "Bel Canto" by Ann Patchett for my book club, "Freddy and Fredericka" which is very funny, and "Letters From Home", a mystery (one of my favorite genres). I have mixed feelings about Bel Canto, have not yet got into Letters From Home, but really am quite amused by Freddy and Fredericka, so we'll see. I'm always looking for suggestions, so feel free to share some good books! Posted by Picasa

How time flies

My little babe is getting so big! I can't believe how much has happened in just this last month, I think 6 months really is a milestone month. She is so curious now and reaches for anything and everything. She is scooting around, it's only a matter of time before she really catches on, and oh no! A mobile babe. I'm really quite enjoying this phase of still being able to put her down and not watch her every move, but she still loves to be held and cuddled, too. What a cutie! She is a squealer, we have squealing conversations, but Natalie's squeals are hard to top! Sometimes they even reach outside the audible range of the human ear. It's really quite adorable. Posted by Picasa

Look closely!

It is not an uncommon occurence to find Natalie in some sort of tangle like this upon getting her from her crib. This one required some effort, I am sure. I also have come across an arm poking out of the neck hole. She may have been trying to tell us she was now ready to move on from being swaddled tightly. I'm not quite sure what this one is trying to tell us. Any ideas? Posted by Picasa

New haircut

Okay, for those of you who don't see me on a weekly basis, here is my new haircut. But I must say, it's hard to not notice that cute baby sitting in my lap. Posted by Picasa
